Corinthia Knight, who made his name by winning the 3YO Sprint Championship last year, has his sights set on another All-Weather campaign after adding another notable performance to his impressive CV in Sweden on Sunday 22nd September.

The Ontoawinner-owned gelding scored a hard-fought victory in the Listed Bro Park Sprint Championship at Bro Park Racecourse, scooping over £44,000 for his connections.

Given a typically fine ride by Luke Morris, the son of Society Rock dug deep to get the better of locally trained Ambiance who had won last year’s edition of the race.

Corinthia Knight was well placed to challenge under Morris about two furlongs out and kept on gamely to wear down Ambiance to win by a neck, with Puds a nose back in third.

After seeing his ultra-tough four-year-old score an 11th career victory from just 35 starts, his delighted trainer Archie said: “I’m very proud of this horse – he was one of the first yearlings we bought when we started training.

“He is tough and consistent and has taken his owners to America, Canada, France and Sweden. Luke gave him a fantastic ride and he deserved to pick up another Stakes win and a good pot.

“He continues to give his syndicate an enormous amount of fun and we look forward to another All-Weather campaign with him through the winter, with the aim of reaching the valuable Sprint Final on Good Friday.”

Officially rated 99, Corinthia Knight’s Victory on turf at Bro Park was his second in Listed grade, supplementing his success in the Prix Montenica on Polytrack at Chantilly in March 2018.

He has now won nine times on the All-Weather and twice on turf, amassing over £300,000 in prize money for Ontoawinner’s shareholders.
